Bhawani Natya Shala

It was built in 1921 A.D. by Maharaja Bhawani Singh for the performance of plays and cultural programs. It was a popular Parsi theatre in the State times and has been recently renovated. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that its deep stage with its underground construction allows the horses and even the chariots to appear on stage. It is believed to be one of the eight such theatres in the World. Its architectural uniqueness is revealed by its stage that has an underground construction through which horses and even chariots can appear on stage. Dances like 'Shakuntalam' and 'Shakespeare' were displayed here.

It is situated near the Fort and in state times. It is closed for repairs, however, it is unique for time when it was set up and being in such a remote location away from all major towns. The visitors are prohibited to go inside Natyalaya.
