Formerly known as Jag Niwas, Lake Palace is located on a natural rock on Jag Niwas island. Surrounded by lake Pichola, this beautiful palace is voted as one of the most romantic hotels in India. The palace was built under the supervision of 62nd successor of Mewar and so it was named after him. One can experience the adventure and beauty of this fascinating palace from its very first look.
Located in the middle of the Pichola Lake, Hotel Lake Palace is accessible by boat that is operated by hotel. White marble in centre of a freshwater artificial lake offers breathtaking views. Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces took over the management in 1971 for its renovation and restoration.
